By holding the bit rigid over a fixed table, it eliminates the slip, tilt, and wobble of handheld drilling. Selecting the correct speed is crucial for preventing bit overheating and producing clean entry/exit cuts with minimal tear-out. Larger bits/harder wood require slower speeds and lesser feed rates. Our drill presses include a built in speed chart that helps you select the correct speed based on the bit type and size as well as wood type. |

Using the Speed Chart

Press “Menu” – the speed chart will come up, press the black knob to confirm
2
Choose bit type by turning the black knob, press knob to confirm
3
Select bit size by turning the black knob, press knob to confirm
4
Choose wood type – harder woods will require a lower speed - press knob to confirm
5
Speed will then be set according to the selected bit and wood type.

DO NOT set the speed higher than the guide tells you!
