Woodworkers of Green Valley Recreation (WWGVR)
To provide a safe, well maintained, organized wood and hobby shop environment where club members may explore the woodworking crafts.
OPEN:
Mondays: 8 am to 2 pm (Closed at 2 pm for maintenance)
Tuesday thru Saturday: 8 am to 4 pm (Subject to Monitor Availability)
CLOSED: Sundays and Christmas Day.
Wood Shop – 6,000+ square foot Wood Shop (Refer to this Map)
Inside Project Work Area – Nineteen, 4 foot by 8 foot “Project Layout Tables” with personal drawers
Machine/Equipment Areas – Four machine areas for lathes, router tables, sanders, band saws, chop saws, etc)
Outside Project Work Area – Two patio areas for sanding, grinding or finishing with vacuum systems
Vacuum Systems – Central vacuum system on all machines plus portable “Shop Vacs”
Compressed Air & Power – Compressed air and ‘power cord” drops at all project tables and patio area.
Commercial Quality – Heavy duty commercial quality equipment installed
Lockers & Drawers – Lockers and drawers may be available to rent for personal items.
Air Cleaners – Additional air cleaners installed in machine area.
“SawStop” Table Saws – Two ‘SawStop’ table saws installed for safety.
Tools, Jigs, and Supplies – Large selection of typical hand tools, jigs, and consumable supplies on hand

Orientation & Safety Training: A prerequisite to join the club as Full Members, this 6-hour training is for registered “Associates” and is conducted on 3 consecutive days, 4 – 6 pm.
Safety Monitor Training: Initial training and annual re-certification.
Woodworking Classes: Various topics for club members only taught by ‘Subject Matter Experts’ Nov – Apr.
Woodworking for Women: Special topics for women club members only Nov – Apr.
Toy Making: Training to produce toys for Toy Program. Details
Board of Directors: Serve terms of duty in accordance with WWGVR By Laws.
Safety Monitors: Perform a 4 hour duty shift per month while in Green Valley.
Maintenance Committee: Performs preventive, upgrade, and repairs on equipment and tools.
IT Committee: Manages the Information Technology and Woodshop Website.
Toy Program: From Nov – Apr each year, the Toy Program committee members make 600+ toys for children. Details
Arts & Crafts Club: The WWGVR is an official “Arts & Crafts” club of Green Valley Recreation.
Board of Directors: Nine member volunteer Board governs and manages the club in accordance with the WWGVR By Laws and Shop Rules.
By Laws and Shop Rules: The club ‘By Laws’ and ‘Shop Rules’ can be found on the website after logging in and in the wood shop.
Club Communications: Members-only area of website, newsletters via email, board meeting minutes and financials posted in wood shop.
